Western Cape:                        9 101 votes counted, of which 86.25%  (or 7850 votes) are in support of a strike;
KwaZulu-Natal:                        7 069 votes counted, of which 88.97%  (or 6 289 votes) are in support of a strike;
Eastern Cape:                         1 357 votes counted, of which 80.62%  (or 1 094 votes) are in support of a strike;
Gauteng:                                   3 196 votes counted, of which 84.11%  (or 2 688 votes) are in support of a strike, and
Head Office Project:                4 313 votes counted, of which 89.43%  (or 3 848 votes) are in support of a strike;
Total:                                         25 036 votes counted, of which 86.95%  (or  21 769 votes) are in support of a strike.

We will use Monday and Tuesday next week to mop up balloting at a few outstanding companies and make a formal announcement of the final outcomes and our way forward, at a press Conference to be called next Wednesday morning. Details of the press conference will be announced in due course.

Our next update will be at next week’s press conference and no further statements will be released until then.
