YOUTH MONTH: SACTWU Matric Winter School 2019

June is “Youth Month” in South Africa.

As part of its youth empowerment programme, SACTWU runs an annual Matric Winter School for working class matriculants.

We have just commenced with our 2019 programme, in this regard.

The Sactwu Matric Winter School takes place annually to assist the dependents of the members of SACTWU with improving their marks for their Grade 12 final Exams.

These SACTWU Matric Winter Schools are fully funded by SACTWU and are for the dependants of our members who are in Grade 12 this year.

Our Matric Winter Schools provide extra assistance, in small classes, tuition style, in the most difficult subjects to these grade 12 learners, who come from low income working class families.

This year 921 eligible learners nationally have applied to participate in the Sactwu Matric Winter School program for 2019.

We will focus on Mathematics, Maths Literacy, Physics, Life Science, English Home Language, English 1st Additional Language, Accounting and Business Subjects.

A session on career guidance and life skills training is also offered.

Our 2019 Matric Winter School programme started on Sunday, 16th June 2019 in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
