SPRINGBOKS TO RECEIVE NEW LOCALLY MANUFACTURED WORLD CUP BLAZER

 

The Rugby World Cup is coming!

 

The COSATU-affiliated Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers’ Union (SACTWU), the House of Monatic (Cape Town clothing factory), Proudly SA, and the South African Rugby Union (SARU) have been working together to produce specially designed locally manufactured rugby clothing,  which our national team will wear for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

 

We advise that the first Springbok rugby players’ blazers will be handed over tomorrow, as follows:

 

Date: Thursday 15 August 2019

 

Time: 12h00 promptly

 

Venue: Southern Sun Hotel, Pretoria (cnr Steve Biko Rd and Stanza Bopape St)

 

Present will be the following:  Herschel Jantjies, Lizo Gqoboka, Rynhardt Elstadt (Springbok players), Mr Mark Alexander (SA Rugby President), Mr Themba Khumalo, (SACTWU President)  and Happy Ngidi (Proudly SA Chief Officer for Marketing and Communications).

 

The media is invited for a media briefing and photo opportunity to the above handover event.
